  • 1/2 cup Portabello mushrooms (Small or large will work, slice them to this portion)
  • 2 tablespoons Ricotta cheese (I used soft)
  • 2 tablespoons Trader Joe's Garlic Spread and Dip
  • 1 Whole Wheat sliced bread (Any type of bread will do!)

Mushroom Toast with a ricotta and garlic spread twist. All of the ingredients are store bought nothing is made from scratch.

  1. Prep Your ToastTrader Joe's Garlic Spread and Dip

The steps to put this together are super easy and simple. Given all of the items are store bought, it is just a matter of putting it together and cooking the mushrooms. You are also welcome to eat the mushrooms raw.

    • Start with mixing the equal portions of ricotta and garlic dip. You can add any seasoning you like here or when you are done.
    • Toast your bread
    • Do a quick sauté of your mushrooms it should take only a few minutes if your pan is hot.
    • Spread the mixture on the toast, lay the mushrooms next. Season to taste.

Every cooking adventure starts with a trip to the store. I love to have Trader Joe's Garlic Spread and Dip handy at all times. It tastes good on everything!

This is when you slice up your mushrooms. I recommend a quick sauté until brown. You can however also eat them raw.

For seasoning - I like to use oregano, iItalian blend, onion powder, red crushed pepper, black pepper, and sea salt.
